Terms & Conditions

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you ("you", "your") and Nariboo ("we", "us", "our") and govern your use of the Nariboo mobile application (the "App").

By downloading, installing, or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Who can use Nariboo

• You must be at least 13 years old. Some events are age-gated by their organizer (for example 18+ venues); you must meet the advertised age requirement to attend.
• You confirm that all information you provide (display name, email, date of birth where submitted) is accurate.
• If you use sign-in via Google or Apple, you must own the associated account.

2. Your account

• Sign-in is optional. You can browse as a guest, but certain features (liking, saving, attending, organizing) require an account.
• You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials safe and for any activity under your account.
• You may disable or delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion is final: it cascades to the events you organized and to media you uploaded.

3. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the App in violation of any law or regulation.
• Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation.
• Post, upload, or link to content that is illegal, hateful, threatening, harassing, defamatory, sexually explicit, violent, discriminatory, or infringes any third-party right.
• Upload malware, exploit vulnerabilities, or attempt to bypass App Check, authentication, or Firestore Security Rules.
• Scrape, crawl, or automate the App without written permission.
• Use the App to spam, phish, or distribute unsolicited advertising.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code.
• Circumvent rate limits, quotas, or security controls.

We may suspend, disable, or permanently ban any account or device that violates these rules. Bans are enforced via both account flags and Firebase Installations device identifiers.

4. Organizer content

Users with organizer role (role ≥ 100) can create and edit events. If you are an organizer:

• You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, cache, resize, and distribute the event content (text, images, videos) within the App and its marketing surfaces for as long as the event exists.
• You confirm you own the rights to every image and video you upload, or have permission to use them.
• You are solely responsible for the accuracy of event details (date, time, venue, pricing, age requirements, safety warnings).
• You agree to remove or correct any event that becomes misleading or that we ask you to amend for policy reasons.
• Nariboo is a listing platform, not an organizer. Contracts between attendees and organizers are between those parties only.

5. User-generated content (non-organizer)

Your lists (Hotlist, Likes, Saved, Attending) are personal and only visible to you. Aggregate counters derived from your actions (e.g., total event likes) may be publicly visible on the event document in anonymized form.

6. Intellectual property

• The App, its source code, design, trademarks, and logos are owned by Nariboo and protected by copyright and other laws.
• Event content is owned by the respective organizer.
• Except for the limited licence to use the App on your devices, no IP rights are transferred to you.

7. Third-party services

Nariboo is built on Firebase (Google), Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, Google Maps, and Open-Meteo. Your use of these components is also governed by the respective providers' terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for outages or bugs in third-party services.

8. Availability and changes

• We provide the App "as is" and do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
• We may add, change, or remove features at any time.
• If we make material changes to these Terms, we will bump the version number and request re-acceptance on next launch.

9. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect and why.

10. Disclaimers

• The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
• Event information is supplied by third-party organizers and may be inaccurate. Verify details (dates, pricing, safety) directly with the organizer before attending.
• Maps and weather data are provided by third parties and may be incomplete or delayed.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nariboo will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability under these Terms will not exceed fifty euros (€50) or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, whichever is greater. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (for example, gross negligence, death, or personal injury caused by us).

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Nariboo harmless from any claim, loss, or demand (including reasonable legal fees) arising from (a) content you upload, (b) your breach of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any third-party right.

13. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the service or other users.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of your country of residence where required by mandatory consumer protection rules. Otherwise, they are governed by the laws of the country where Nariboo is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.

15. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes trigger a new version and a fresh in-app consent prompt.
